10,000 Reasons to Celebrate! The Sage Buyers Mirror Challenge, Leinah Takes the iPhone X Prize

At Sage Buyers, we love to give back to society and mostly to our already existing customers and fans which also partly explains all the discounts on most of our products which are majorly iOS/Apple devices in all ranges.

Just recently, we concluded the Mirror Challenge where fans were required to drop a selfie of themselves for a chance to win an iPhone X. The Criteria for winning was based on a mirror selfie tagging our Twitter and Instagram Pages with the hashtag #SageBuyers, the winning selfie was one that triggered the most engagement.

The Mirror selfie challenge was started as a way to give back to our loyal fans and now we celebrate 10,000 reasons why on Twitter.

The Mirror Selfie Challenge was eventually scooped by Leinah. Leinah’s mirror selfie garnered over 252 retweets, 1.3k likes and 67 comments on Twitter with 342 likes on Instagram.

The iPhone X was delivered to Leinah by one of our brand ambassadors Linda Ddane and our Team Leader Ssempijja Stanley on 10th April.

iPhone X was released on November 3rd, 2017 and has always been one of Apple’s flagship phones often referred to as the face of the future. The iPhone X came with a variety of changes in features and gave birth to new fundamental aspects of the iPhone – the home button and fingerprint sensor were phased out introducing Apple’s new Face ID unlocking system. It is safe to say that the iPhone X revolutionized a new era of Apple phones.

A glance at the iPhone X

At a glance, the iPhone X looks so good – there is no headphone jack but that’s a price you pay for a bezel-less screen with a notch at the top. Around the sides, you’ll find the volume buttons, the mute switch, and the sleep / wake button.

The removal of the home button means there are a few new button combinations to remember: pressing the top volume button and the sleep / wake button together takes a screenshot. Holding the sleep button opens Siri. And you turn the phone off by holding either of the volume buttons and the sleep button for several seconds.

The iPhone X is Apple’s first phone to use an OLED display, after years of Apple LCDs setting the standard for the industry. Apple used a 5.8-inch Samsung-manufactured OLED display, which it says it custom designed for the iPhone X.

The display uses a diamond PenTile pixel layout, which means every pixel on the screen shares red, green, and blue subpixels with the pixels around it.

Jumping to the camera, the iPhone X boasts a 12 MP wide and telephoto back camera with Quad-LED dual-tone flash, HDR (photo/panorama), panorama, HDR for photos and can even shoot in 4K – amazing. The Selfie Camera is a 7 MP standard able to shoot in HDR and in 1080P and also boasts of an SL 3D, (depth/biometrics sensor).

Congratulations Leinah, here’s to taking more selfies and photos and to being part of the Sage Buyers fraternity.
